I'm a pretty down to earth person. I moved to Baltimore from southern Indiana. If there exists a personality type unique to the Midwest, I suppose I probably have some of its features. I'm pretty laid-back and calm, especially in the face of confrontation. I've gotten better at this since starting work. I try to be as nice to people as I can, because I know everybody has it rough in different ways.

In my spare time, I like to play viola. I haven't played seriously since 2007 when I started college. I've played in my share of orchestras and string quartets before. Right now though, I just make up tunes and improvise to songs I like. My favorite band to play along with would probably be the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their music is just so fun and open to new parts. The viola blends in so well. I also like to play bass guitar.

I'm only serious when I need to be. Otherwise, I'm trying to make you laugh. I love stand-up comedy, and I actually thought about trying to do it as an amateur if I could get up the nerve and find any places in Baltimore. My favorite comedian would have to be Brian Regan. He's totally hilarious without being vulgar, so you can retell his jokes to your parents or people of any age without any social awkwardness. On the complete opposite end of the socially acceptable spectrum is Bill Burr. He's also very funny, but much more for adults.

I also like watching documentaries on a whole range of topics. Basically, if it looks interesting, I'll watch it. I get stuck on one TV show at a time. Breaking Bad was GREAT. Cake Boss was entertaining for a while. My latest addiction is How I Met Your Mother. I didn't watch TV when I was in college, and so I'm just now seeing the shows that have been out for quite a while.

One of my passions is human rights issues, especially as they relate to the middle east. I also like to be involved in humanitarian efforts, although indirectly, I'll admit.

Anyway, I'm looking for a serious relationship with someone who I can appreciate as a person and who can appreciate me the same way.

Goal in life	My goal is to get PhD in microbiology/immunology so that I can contribute to infectious disease research. I've wanted to help make medicine as a career since I was in high school.
